Shun An Road No.41
“Shun An Road No. 41” is a documentary film and photographic exploration of familial bonds, capturing my one-month stay in Taiwan and my evolving internal conflicts. Through a first-person narrative, the documentary intertwines my personal experiences with my father’s diary entries from over thirty years ago, creating a dialogue that spans generations. The photographs I took in Taiwan, primarily from my old house, are juxtaposed with my father’s writings, simulating his period of confusion and anxiety in his twenties. This artistic approach bridges time and space, allowing us to connect across eras and view each other’s emotional shadows, fostering a unique generational conversation.
